When you watch my video, you will hear my dissatisfaction with my card. Well, being the perfectionist I am — I went back this week and made another card using similar products. I did change it up by added a “just because” sentiment to the outside (used a 1 3/4″ x 7/8″ oval punch) with PRETTY PEACOCK ink, set up on a dimensional and embellished with leaves (like the video demonstrates)

The inside uses the beautiful detailed circle frame lit, vellum backed with the sentiment embossed with WHITE EMBOSSING POWDER. The flower is cut from the DSP and layered and embellished with FROSTED GEMS.

Begin with a base of Soft SeaFoam card stock and layer the front with strips from the **Hello, Irresistible DSP.** The frame lit die (outline) die-cuts leaves from the DSP pattern, while the detailed dies due-cut leaves in Basic White card stock from the **Irresistible Blooms bundle.**

Use the **Irresistible Blooms Bundle** for cutting the leaves. A 3D Embossing folder used to emboss the side panel.

Base card using PETAL PINK card stock. The flowers were die-cut from the DSP patterned paper. The center panel was stamped with PETAL PINK & DAFFODIL DELIGHT inks and embellished with Frosted Gems.

TIP: Take full advantage of patterned DSP (for those blooms that may be along the edge and not cut-out a full flower shape) by placing along the edges. Also, you can layer blooms to create more dimension for your flowers.

More Inspiration

Using the NATURALLY GILDED 12″X12″ DSP that comes in GOLD and COPPER. Here is the gold foil version with Very Vanilla card stock. The sentiment is stamped and cut with a 2″ circle punch and layered on top of GOLD FOIL cut with a larger 2 3/4″ circle punch.

Used a 2.75″ Circle Punch with Gold foil card stock and 2″ Circle Punch with Basic White CS and embossed the sentiment from the stamp set in BLACK EMBOSSING POWDER. Retired OPEN LEAF Trinket on the front middle panel.

This is the COPPER Foil with Basic White using retired LEAVES TRINKETs.

Begin with a base card of **Basic White** card stock and layer the front with strips of the **Hello, Irresistible DSP** and frame the blooms with the fancy circle die cut from the **Irresistible Blooms bundle.**

Use the **Irresistible Blooms Bundle** for cutting the flower pieces after they have been embossed with **WHITE Embossing Powder** on colored cardstock. Color with **SPONGE DAUBER** for contrast.

Dainty Delights Acetate Pop-Up Card

Here’s a perfect card for all occasions — plus as a POP-UP — it really has the WOW factor!

My video tutorial as featured on my Youtube Channel is more lengthy than my other videos due to the detailed nature of this project and some of the extra tips (coloring & shaping) demonstrated to enhance your paper crafting skills. It also features assembling using the RAIN OR SHINE DSP project (final project posted below).

Begin with a base card of **Basic White** card stock and layer the front with **Old Olive** and **Dainty Flowers DSP.**

Use the **Dainty Delight DIES** and **Medium Daisy punch** for cutting the flower pieces. Color with **SPONGE DAUBER**s to add depth and use the ***SIZZIX Shaping Kit*** to create a 3D flower effect.

**Acetate** (re-purposed from the Photopolymer Stamp Sets or purchased from me — **WINDOW SHEETS**) is used to create a clear layer and enhance the flowered background. **Silver Foil** creates the “hardware detail” on the platform. Every aspect of this project is special — including the inside of the popup card — by using the coordinating DSP.

More Inspiration

As demonstrated in my Video, here is the final project using the **RAIN or SHINE DSP** and **PLAYING IN THE RAIN BUNDLE.** I embellished the card using daisies from the **Dainty Delight bundle,** the sentiment is from the **CONVERSATIONS BUBBLES.** **Brass Butterflies** fly aloft with the kite (adhered by a mini-wobble). Really a fun birthday card!

Pirate Box Card Project

This masculine project uses the ON THE OCEAN Bundle and DSP from the BY THE BAY Suite. Additional dies featured are the Deckled Rectangles — a perfect touch for a nautical theme as well as the Layering Diorama Dies. You may recall a similar project for Halloween which follows the same directions — just changing it up by adding new products.

As always, the fun part of this project is to begin by die-cutting all the project pieces in advance to later assemble them as the focal point. I provide TIPS to include die-cutting the FRONT WINDOW layers — all at once — using SU’s Die Cut Machine.

A technique demonstrated includes “shaping” the cardstock with a round tip tool to create the 3D effect, shading with ink and sponge daubers, and layering with a multipurpose adhesive sheet to create the waves. A Project PDF is available below.

Begin with a base card of Night of Navy and layer the front with Balmy Blue and By the Bay DSP.

The Envelop Box front is stamped with Night of Navy (SHIP) and Balmy Blue (wave). TIP: Stamp the wave first — then mask the wave and stamp the ship second. The Deckled Rectangles provide the perfect nautical accent for layering the Basic White and Balmy Blue cardstock. Use a piece of By the Bay DSP for the front (6×6)–with a foil accent.

Exploding Box Card Valentine

How to Assemble Sweet Gingerbread Treat Boxes

Assemble a Sweet Gingerbread Shaker Card

Follow my previous POST with a video tutorial on how to make these gingerbread houses using the SWEET GINGERBREAD stamp set and GINGERBREAD HOUSE dies. Now let’s transform these gingerbread houses into a Shaker Card for the holidays!

Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, So Saffron, and Tahitian Tide are the perfect gingerbread house with candied gum drops in So Saffron, Pale Papaya, Pear Pizzaz, Tahitian Tide, and snow drifts of fluffy icing with Snowfall Accents Puff Paint. The GLOSSY DOTS accents (page 142) are perfect candied embellishments. The added ice glitter is ICE GLITTER (retired). Recommend Ranger Distress ROCK CANDY for a “sugared” effect that will add sparkle and Ranger MICA Flakes for shaker fill.

The Penguin Playmates DSP (retired) from last year offers the perfect background as well as the opportunity to use items from your crafting stash.

Halloween Pocket Tags

I love creating fun tags for the holidays…here is a tag project perfect for Halloween! Create fun pocket tags using the MINI POCKET ENVELOPE DIES, BLACK & WHITE DESIGNS, and GINGHAM COTTAGE Designer Series Paper (DSP). The project also features the SCARY CUTE Bundle (stamp set and dies). Product information and a video tutorial are featured below.

Featured TECHNIQUE: Use a LABEL Punch to create a “tag topper” for the tags.

Featured Tags

**Gingham Cottage** and the **Black & White Designs Designer Series Paper (DSP)** is used to create the pocket with DIE cut-outs from the **SCARY SILHOUETTES** dies embellished with **GLITTER WASHI TAPE** and **Gingham Ribbon.**

Flip the Pocket Tags over and decorate (using both Memento Black Ink and White Embossing Powder) using sentiments from the SCARY CUTE stamp set.

These are the tags that show through the CUT OUT embellished with GLITTER WASHI TAPE

Flip the tags over to show the sentiments and figures from the SCARY CUTE stamp set stamped with Memento Black ink using a STAMPARATUS.

Using the SCARY SILHOUETTES dies create a vellum window to showcase the Frankenstein trick-or-treater…

Orange & Black — classic Halloween pairing using **Basic Black** cardstock and the **Gingham Cottage DSP**. The haunted house and bat cutouts are perfect, with a little **GLITTER WASHI Tape** for added sparkle.

You will need a STAMPARATUS for stamping and a STAMPIN’ CUT & EMBOSS MACHINE for die cutting
Basic Black cardstock/DSP — featured below (5″x6″) to cut POCKET ENVELOPES using the DIEs
STICKY GRID – refer to the video tutorial — makes arranging DIES to create “cut outs” easy work; especially for production cutting
VELLUM for “spooky tree” cut-out (3″x 2 1/4″) from the SCARY SILHOUETTES DIES
TAG INSERTS:
- Basic White or Basic Black cardstock (cut 2 1/8″ x 4″ )
- Memento Black Ink or White Embossing Powder for sentiments
- Use a LABEL PUNCH to create a “tag topper”
- Hole Punch for adding Ribbon
EMBELLISH: GLITTER WASHI TAPE

Fancy Folds: Pop-Up Tree Lot Card

This POP-UP card features the TREE LOT DIES that were offered during SALE-A-BRATION and the TREES FOR SALE stamp set.

This card is all about the DETAILS….the camper dies to offer exactly that — great detail to create the centerpiece for this tree lot “diorama”. Die cut the sign and dog to add fun and whimsy.

This is very much a “fancy fold” technique card since it features “mountains” and “valleys” to create the pop-up insert. My Project PDF will provide the POP-UP template (that can be adapted for other projects) as well as all project and product details.

Lastly, blending, masking, and stamp-stamp-off techniques are featured for creating the background.
