Fancy Folds “Faux Stepper” Card

Easiest “stepper” card around!

This easy stepper card features the GREATEST JOURNEY Bundle that was featured as part of the “Enjoy the Journey” Suite collection from the 2023 Mini-Catalog. This is a RETIRING bundle — so act fast while supplies last.

My tutorial features two cards, a 3″ and 4″ Front Panel using the Enjoy the Journey DSP and Basic White Card stock. All products are available on my ONLINE store (link below).

Faux Stepper Card
Begin with a base card of Basic White card stock, layer 3″ front panel with DSP with clouds, mountain and runner shapes.
4″ front panel with hiker silhouette and Blue Bakers Twine.
Fits a 6″x6″ envelope

Project Information

  1. BASE CARD:
    • Using your Stampin’ Trimmer cut 6″ x 9″ Basic White Cardstock
      • Using your Simply Scored Tool SCORE: 1″, 2″, 4.5″, 7″, 8″ 
      • Fold in half – Fold the first half  “back” and the remaining tab “forward”
        • Repeat for the second half to create “mountain & valleys”
        • Use your Bone Folder to crease seams
      • STAMP sentiment on FRONT using either Starry Sky or Garden Green inks. 
    • FRONT “BACK” Panel:
      • Using your Stampin’ Trimmer cut  5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ in Highland Heather / Seaside Spray cardstock
      • Using your Stampin’ Trimmer cut  5 3/4″ x 2″ in Garden Green / Night of Navy
        • Using the MINI STAMPIN’ Cut & Emboss Machine  cut the mountain silhouette using the die in either Night of Navy / Garden Green cardstock
        • Glue to (dark color) Back Panel with Multi-purpose glue
  2. FRONT PANEL:
    • Cut 11″ x 3″ Size in Basic White Cardstock
      • Using your Simply Scored Tool SCORE:
        • Align 11″ along the top of the scoreboard
          • 1/2″, 5 1/2″, 10 1/2″ 
        • Fold in half and fold each 1/2″ tab forward (these tabs will adhere to the BASE CARD)
        • Using TEAR TAPE – adhere to the 1/2″ tabs (front & back) 
      • FRONT PANEL Layer:
        • Using your Stampin’ Trimmer cut  DSP: 2 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ 
        • Glue with Multi-purpose glue to Basic White Front Panel
    • Using your Stampin’ Trimmer cut 11″ x 4″ in Basic White Cardstock
      • Using your Simply Scored Tool– Score the same as above
      • LAYER FRONT PANEL:
        • Using your Stampin’ Trimmer cut DSP: 3 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ 
  3. DIE CUT FIGURES using a MINI STAMPIN’ Cut & Emboss Machine :
    • Basic White Cardstock
      • Die-cut clouds (3)
    • Basic Black Cardstock
      • Runner/Hiker Silhouettes and Hiking Stick
  4. INKS:  Starry Sky & Garden Green 
  5. Adhesives:
    • Multipurpose Glue,
    • Tear Tape
    • Fine Tip Glue
    • Mini & Regular Dimensionals (Black &White)
