There’s something magical about butterflies—and when you add brilliant metallic foiling, they become absolutely breathtaking!
Today I’m sharing a collection of elegant cards featuring the Butterfly Flight Bundle paired with Stampin’ Up!’s exciting HOT FOIL SYSTEM. The combination of shimmering metallic greetings, softly blended butterflies, and richly textured embossed backgrounds creates cards that are both sophisticated and surprisingly easy to make.
Add Brilliant Metallic Shine
The star of today’s projects are the Butterfly Flight and the Classic Greetings Hot Foil Dies, used with both Gold and Silver Hot Foil. These beautifully detailed images and greetings create crisp, professional-quality sentiments that instantly elevate every card.
Whether you prefer the warmth of gold or the cool elegance of silver, both foils coordinate beautifully with the soft butterfly color palettes. Add Basic Black for extra sophistication!
Beautiful Butterflies Made Easy
The Butterfly Flight Decorative Masks make coloring effortless. Instead of spending time individually coloring each butterfly, simply blend ink through each of the four layers to build gorgeous depth and detail.
For today’s cards I used a soft collection of Stampin’ Up! colors:
- Strawberry Slush
- Bubble Bath
- Soft Sea Foam
- Peaceful Pine
- Hydrangea Hue
- Misty Moonlight
These colors blend together beautifully to create butterflies that range from soft and delicate to bold and dramatic.
Gorgeous Texture with 3D Embossing Folders
Texture is one of my favorite ways to make a handmade card feel extra special. Each butterfly is paired with a different embossed background to create its own unique personality.
Featured 3D Embossing Folders include:

Each folder adds incredible dimension while allowing the foiled greeting and colorful butterfly to remain the focal point.

- the foil color (try Soft PINK foil!)
- the ink colors
