The Silly Old Bear Suite Collection from Stampin’ Up! is one of those rare releases that feels like opening the pages of a childhood storybook. Inspired by Winnie the Pooh and friends, the May ONLINE EXCLUSIVE offering combines soft imagery, heartfelt charm, and beautifully coordinated textures into one unforgettable collection.
For my latest project, I created a series of Double Z-Fold cards—because if there was ever a collection that deserved dimension, movement, and a little storytelling magic…this is it.

PROJECT DETAILS
🍯 To create this charming Silly Old Bear Z-Fold base:
Card Base:
4.25″ x 11″ in Basic White or Crumb Cake
→ Score at 2.75″ and 5.5″ on the long side
→ Fold mountain-valley style to form the Z shape
Old Olive or Pear Pizzaz (retired) Layers:
(1) Cut one 4″ x 5.25″
(2) Cut two 2.5″ x 4″ for the folding panel
Using the HUNDRED ACRE WOOD 3D Embossing Folder – emboss the panels.
Designer Series Paper (DSP) Layers:
Using Silly Old Bear Designer Series Paper
→ Choose a pattern featuring Pooh, honey pots, or soft woodland prints
→ Cut scenes with DIES or trim DSP to fit the front Z panels (2 3/8″ wide)
Back Panel (Optional for Message):
4″ x 5.25″ in Basic White
→ Perfect for stamping a sweet sentiment using the coordinating stamps from the suite
→ Add subtle imagery like bees, honey pots, or background textures for a finished look
Z-Strip (Pop-Out Mechanism):
(1) 1″ x 11″ strip from Old Olive / Pear Pizzaz Card Stock
→ Score at 5.5″ and 8.25″
(2) 10.5″ x .75″ from Silly Old Bear DSP pattern
→ Use this strip for elements like Pooh, a honey pot, or the layered sentiments
✨ Design Tip:
Think storybook layering—build a gentle woodland moment with soft colors, textured backgrounds from the 3D embossing folder, and those sweet, nostalgic characters. This layout is going to be so adorable with Pooh—it practically begs for dimension and movement! 🐻💛
