🖤 Project Overview🎃✨
In this tutorial, I feature several card designs created with the Spooky Sweet Designer Series Paper (DSP) and coordinating stamp sets, including:
- Spooky Halloween
- Fright Night
- Sign Design
The cards come together in two easy-to-make formats:
- Standard 5.5″ x 4.25″ cards (DSP Layer 5.25″ x 4″) that fit in the Clear Medium Envelopes
- Smaller 5″ x 3.75″ designs (DSP layer 4.75″x 3.5″) that fit perfectly inside Iridescent Treat Bags, which double as colorful, festive envelopes.
These projects are perfect for crafting with kids—or simply creating a quick batch of Halloween fun to share!
🌈 Adding Color, Texture & Shine
To bring each card to life, I demonstrate how to add color and texture using Ranger Distress Spritzes in these vibrant shades:
- Pickled Raspberry
- Weathered Wood
- Twisted Citron
- Fossilized Amber
For even more Halloween magic, I embellish cut-out figures with:
- Crystal Effects for glossy dimension can use FINE TIP GLUE as a substitute.

✨ Bonus Technique: DIY Embossing Diffuser
As an extra treat, I show you how to create your very own diffuser for embossing folders—a quick DIY tool that helps you spotlight areas of texture on your cardstock without embossing the entire surface. It’s a fun hack you’ll use again and again for other projects!
🎃 Cards for a Cause
In total, I created nearly 50 cards during this crafting session. All of them will be donated to the University of New Mexico Children’s Hospital to spread a little joy, color, and Halloween cheer to the kids this season. 💜🖤🧡
