🌸 Pretty Spring Treat Baskets – A Sweet DIY Project with Stampin’ Up!
Spring is in full bloom, and I’ve got the perfect little project to share with you today—adorable handmade Treat Baskets featuring a mix of fresh florals, cheerful patterns, and beautiful textures using some of my favorite Stampin’ Up! products!
These baskets are the ideal size (3.25″ square!) for Easter, Mother’s Day, or party favors—and they’re fun to make, too!
🧺 Project Details
Each basket measures 3.25″ x 3.25″ and is sturdy enough to hold wrapped candies, small gifts, or even a mini set of note cards. You can easily customize them by mixing and matching your Designer Series Papers and floral embellishments.
✂️ Supplies I Used:
- Pretty Florals Dies – to create those charming dimensional blossoms
- Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper (DSP) – soft florals that scream spring
- Woven Textures DSP – for a rustic, natural vibe
- Happy Hibiscus Dies – bold floral accents with tropical flair
- Daisy Punch – a classic that never goes out of style
- Gingham Cottage DSP – perfect for a playful picnic basket feel
- Cardstock & Adhesives – coordinating colors bring it all together
🌼 How-To:
- Cut your base to 7.25” x 7.25”, score at 2” on all sides to create the FOLDs.
- Cut up to the score lines on two opposite sides to form tabs, then miter those TABS and glue into a square basket.
- Add a handle using a 1” x 12” strip of cardstock or DSP. Use a Bone Folder to gentle curl the handle.
- Embellish with die-cut flowers using the Pretty Florals and Happy Hibiscus Dies.
- Add punched daisies, layer different papers for contrast, and finish with ribbon or twine.
🧡 Why You’ll Love These
- Quick & easy to assemble
- Great for using up DSP scraps
- Adaptable for any theme or holiday
- Perfect for craft fairs or last-minute gifts
💡 Creative Tip:
Layer different Happy Hibiscus pieces for a bold statement flower and tuck in smaller blooms from the Pretty Florals Dies for extra charm.
