One of the challenges for any stamper is to expand their  design “vocabulary” and include other design elements such as RIBBON to compositions.  It took me a while to understand ways to use ribbon.  Now it has become a favorite.

I was recently asked by a customer,  “how do I use ribbon?”.

So today, I thought I would BLOG about RIBBON.  The first thing I did was go to my box of cards and choose those which I used ribbon which I could use a examples.  From that selection I came up with some DESIGN IDEAS for using ribbon which may be useful to your stamping.

I like to use ribbon as an ELEMENT to LAYER.  Here are some examples…

 I hope this gives you some ideas about how to incorporate ribbon into your design vocabulary.  I use it also when I want to add TEXTURE…like BURLAP, or a splash of glimmer…like GOLD or SILVER accented ribbon,  I also like to use it in pairs to tie in other colors from my composition.
