Here is a fun card that can be made as an embellishment or stand-alone card. This project features FLOWERS FOR EVERY SEASON DSP and card stock from the Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog. It also features some retired products that you may have available to you in your craft room.

I’ve include comments for the featured cards, supplies needed and for assembly follow my Video Tutorial below:

I used the new IN COLOR MAGENTA MADNESS for my base card. Pool Party for the embossed background. The DSP is currently featured in the Annual Catalog — FLOWERS FOR EVERY SEASON 6″X6″ DSP. Medium Daisy Punch (149517) for the flower from WW and WHITE Bakers Twine with some retired ribbon for the kite tail. The daisy middle is cut from the 1/2″ punch from a piece of the RAINBOW GLIMMER PAPER (153056). Substitute any of the FOIL sheets (page 153 of Annual Catalog for layering.
I used a base card of POOL PARTY and some EMBOSSING PASTE in SHIMMERY WHITE (145645) with an old retired cloud stencil for this background. Again, DSP from the FLOWERS FOR EVERY SEASON, some old retired Mint Macaron ribbon with GINGHAM RIBBON (153658) bows.
I wanted to change up the design for this card. I just cut off the KITE from the KITE FOLD and stuck it on my base card with a WOBBLE Action Spring. The Koala is retired but I recommend the MENAGERIE MIX-UP Bundle (155179) as a substitute). I used White Baker’s Twine with White Woven RIbbon bows. The background is embossed with the SUBTLE embossing folder.

Supplies

  • 4″ x 10″ cardstock (Whisper White)
  • Designer Series Paper (I used Flowers for Every Season)
  • Card stock for matting (Foil or Whisper White cardstock)
  • Ribbon: 8″ and three 3″ strips
  • Circle Hole Punches: Regular hole punch and 1/2″ punch
  • Stampin’ Trimmer and Mini-trimmer
  • Ruler/Scissors
  • For making a Card: Card Base (4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″)
  • Layered pieces: Whisper White (5 1/4″ x 4″) and card stock for using Embossing Folder
