There’s something magical about fall—the crisp air, vibrant leaves, and cozy celebrations. It is the perfect season to celebrate the warmth of birthdays with rich colors and seasonal beauty. Today, I’m excited to share a special Fall Birthday project that perfectly captures the season’s essence; I’m excited to share an elegant 6″ x 6 ” Easel Box Card, designed to surprise and delight any birthday recipient!
This project features the gorgeous Changing Leaves Bundle and Hybrid 3D Embossing Folder, Sweetly Scripted Stamp set, Spotlight on Nature Dies, Basic 3D Embossing Folders, and the celebratory “Make a Wish” sentiment from the Paper Pumpkin “Time for Cake” Kit.
Using Crushed Curry and Copper Clay Inks, create vibrant fall hues. Follow the VIDEO TUTORIAL where I’ll guide you through layering techniques and a step-by-step tutorial on cutting and watercoloring the Changing Leaves to embellish the front of your card. All measurements and scoring directions will be included during the video.
This 6×6 Box Easel Card is a stunning way to celebrate fall birthdays, combining the rich textures of fall leaves and the versatility of an easel card with the fun surprise of a treat box. The combination of Stampin’ Up!’s Changing Leaves Bundle, Spotlight on Nature Dies, and embossing adds layers of depth and creativity, making this a perfect seasonal project. I’ve also included some bonus card designs as well as a Sympathy Card version. Having extra pieces at the ready, I was able to make a card for some close friends who had just had a death in the family.
I hope you’re inspired to try this project for your next fall birthday celebration! Let me know in the comments how your version turns out, and don’t forget to share your photos. Happy crafting!

…as a Sympathy Card
A death in the family of some close friends resulted in needing a Sympathy Card. With products on hand, I was able to quickly transform this design to a sympathy card. I used the sentiments from the “Inspired Thoughts” stamp set.
Thank you for the wonderful tutorial and the great inspiration. You are doing an amazing job.
