If you’re ready to craft up a frightfully fun Halloween card, this Z-Fold card using the Spooky Sweet Suite Collection is just the trick (or treat)! Measuring 4.25″ x 5.5″, this interactive fold creates a dynamic display and folds flat for mailing — perfect for spooky greetings with flair.

In this project, I pair Spooky Sweet 12″x12″ Designer Series Paper with Pearlized & Metallic Enamel Effects and spooky elements from Tim Holtz Thinlits to bring your Halloween crafting to life.

📏 Z-Fold Card Dimensions:

To create this spooky Z-Fold base:

Card Base: 4.25″ x 11″ in Basic Black
→ Score at 2.75″ and 5.5″ on the long side
→ Fold mountain-valley style to form the Z shape
DSP Layers:
- 4″x 10.75″ using spooky house front and score at 2.75″ x 5.5″ (front Z panel)
- Optional Basic White – 4″ x 5.25″ for back panel (for writing a message) used retired SCARY CUTE stamp set for figures.
Z-Strip (Mechanism) :
- 1″ x 11″ strip from Acetate/Window Sheet, scored @ 5.5″, 8.25″!

Pearlized & Metallic Enamel Effects (Retired Products)
– Add shimmer to pumpkins
– Use white pearl to highlight spooky Ghost silhouettes
– Add copper or gold metallic for flowers, fence posts for gothic glam
Tim Holtz Thinlits Dies – 665563 (Sizzix)
– Mix in classic silhouettes of ghoulish Trick or Treaters or add tombstones, bats, spider webs, and crooked trees
– Layer these for depth and shadowy drama.
– Die-cut from Basic Black cardstock, vellum.
Fright Night Bundle:
- Use Spider Web die cut from VELLUM
  - Use Spider die from Basic Black (used Crystal Effects as embellishment)
  - “BOO” & “EEK” cut from dies using sparking FOIL.
  - “Happy Halloween” stamp with VersaMark and emboss with Black embossing powder and cut with matching die.

🖌 Technique Tips:

Use foam strips to pop up elements on the front panel and behind the fold for shadowbox-style layering.
For a mystical effect, use Pearlized Enamel Effects or Crystal Effects
