I have featured the Country Floral Dynamic Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on several projects on my blog. I was anxious to try the “wet” embossing technique.

Steps for Creating Effect:

(1) Take the embossing folder and using an INK PAD; ink the smooth side of the inside of the embossing folder.

Hint: The smooth side it under the TOP portion of the folder.

(2) Carefully slip a piece of Whisper White Card Stock cut at ….. close the folder and run it through the BIG SHOT.

HINT: Spray the card stock with H20 using a spritzer on the side that will touch the INKED surface of the E.folder to get added ink absorption into the paper fibers.

(3) Take the cardstock out of the embossing folder and ensure it is fully dry.

(4) Use STAMPIN’ BLENDS to color the raised floral, leaves and stems which are WHITE.

CARD BACKGROUND: My card base was Smokey Slate. So I used a coordinating ribbon across the bottom and added some embellishments cut from Vellum, Old Olive and a piece of Lace Doily.

A Tea Rose in a Tea Cup makes for perfect Tea Together-ness!

Card featured on page 49 of the 2019 Occasions Catalog

I was inspired by the card from the Occasion Catalog on page 49 using the Tea Together stamp set and Tea Time Framelits Dies (FREE during Sale-a-brations with $100 Purchase).

I decided to put my spin on it by using the COUNTRY FLORAL DYNAMIC Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (FREE during Sale-a-brations with $50 purchase) to create the background for the tea layers. For a color palette, I was drawn to the PETAL PINK variegated ribbon which goes perfectly with Soft Sea Foam and Whisper White card stock.

Origami Frame Fold

Use the FLORAL ROMANCE Speciality DSP, Petal Pink/Whisper White 5/8″ Variegated Ribbon with Soft Sea Foam & WW cardstock embellished with Floral Romance Seals for a simple card!

I’m always looking for fancy folds that can be used to transform a card easily. Take a 4″x4″ square piece of DSP and fold point to point; turning back the last points to create the frame. This technique is very compatible with any Designer Series Paper to create a quick and easy card. Just stamp a sentiment or add an image. I created a quick “LIVE” video to demonstrate how easy it is to make this card. Take a look at how versatile this simple fold is by some of the other samples I’ve created!
