I have fallen in LOVE with the Sealed with Love Bundle (144705) and Sending Love DSP (142733) from the new Occasions catalog and especially when paired with the Bloomin’ Love (140643) stamp set from the Annual Catalog.
 

How I made these cards:

First I gathered all my Christmas scraps and papers :
-Real Red Glimmer Paper
-Gold Foil
– Real Red card stock
– Whisper White
– Crumb Cake
and  cut the shapes from the Love Notes Framelits Dies (which comes as part of the Sealed with Love bundle).

After I cut the pieces, I  put together all the different “notes”….

Then I used Soft Sky, Whisper White and Crumb Cake card stock to stamp the background pattern using the same ink colors for a ‘tone on tone’ effect.

“When I was a child growing up in Canada, I remember some family friends who had little chickens that I thought were so cute. A couple of summers ago here in Utah, I stopped at a friend’s ranch and saw all their cute animals including their chickens. They had typical chickens but also another kind called Polish Frizzle Bantam White Chickens. I think they are so funny with all those feathers flopping around on the top of their heads and how they like to stare straight at you and cock their heads.

So when I was assigned to create the Hey, Chick Stamp Set, I was so excited. I wanted to exaggerate the rounder chickens and really make them round, and I also really wanted to draw one of those funny chickens I saw at my friend’s ranch. It was a really fun set to create.”

Having put away the Holiday cheer….I decided to get out “Remarkable You” (139894) stamp set and get start creating for spring.

This lovely set is available from the Annual Catalog (page 128).  I used SU watercolor paper (122959), black StazOn Ink (101406) and Aqua Painters (103954) in
FLIRTY FLAMINGO,
SWEET SUGARPLUM,
WATERMELON WONDER,
PEEKABOO PEACH,
PERFECT PLUM,
ELEGANT EGGPLANT,
DELIGHTFUL DIJON
AND OLD OLIVE.

The collection is photographed sheets of “BLOOMS AND BLISS”.  This is featured on page 173 of the Annual Catalog.   Now wouldn’t these flowers coordinate beautifully with this paper?   Stay tuned for more!
